Mar. 20, Headlines - The Michigan legislature is nearing its deadline to submit a plan on a re-do
primary. The latest idea is a privately financed election. The Clinton campaign
supports this idea, many of her supporters have already agreed to help pay
for the election. The Obama campaign has reservations, one being the privatization
of the election.
The winner of a straw poll taken at a conference of progressive
activists in Washington DC was Barack
Obama. Participants chose Obama 72 percent.
41 percent said they would be unsatisfied if Hillary
Clinton were the nominee.
The
poll taken by Politico at the three day long Take
Back America Conference. Organizers said this poll is not representative of the entire Democratic party
but of the party activists. Participants also thought the economy was the most
important issue followed by Iraq.
