Apr. 14, Feature - The Democratic National Convention is still four and a half months away and the planning has been going just as long as the campaigning. But the Democratic Party is not the only one with big ideas for Denver. A large coalition of activists is ready for the Colorado Rockies.

Joining us is Glenn Spagnuolo, an organizing member of the Recreate 68 Alliance to talk about their protest plans.

"Well, we feel that the Democrats, since they've been in power, for the last two years, have not acted out the retoric that they've used to get themselves elected. And we want to hold them accountable. We feel that there is an illegal war going on right now, and every day that we wait, poor, inhocent civilians are being killed in Iraq, and the Democratic Party has not voted to cut the funding off for this war, and to bring our troops home now - and thats something that we want. And just because they have a 'D' next to their name, doesn't mean they get a free ride anymore."

"we're planning on confronting a war machine that is engaging in an illegal war. The only people that could recreate the violence of Chicago [1968] would be the Denver Police Department - not us."
