Philip Giraldi, former CIA officer and writer for Anti-war.com and the American Conservative talks about why McCain and Lieberman are so tight.

"Well they're both very strong on the foreign policy issues which they perceive which is basically the issue of how to conduct the war against terror and how to deal with rogue states."

"Lieberman has always been extremely conservative. A lot of his conservatism comes out of his relationship with Israel, ... [Lieberman] has very strong ties to the state of Israel. And has always supported a hard lined position, in the Middle East, because of that."
