The Democrats were elected in such huge numbers in 2006, enough to take back the House of Representatives and the Senate, with the idea that Washington would be anew… an end to the Iraq war and the Bush Administration would be held accountable.

The local Maryland race between incumbent Albert Wynn and newcomer Donna Edwards, is causing political analysts to think that Democrats are not safe in their seats just because they have a D next to their name. Wynn is considered corrupt by many and his closeness to big industries seems to be falling out of favor, despite his support from the Democratic establishment.
