Apr. 25, Headlines - Presumptive Republican nominee John McCain traveled to New Orleans where he spoke in the lower 9th Ward which is still not rebuilt from Hurricane Katrina. McCain said faulted the President for mishandling the response and recovery.

Meanwhile, Moveon.org delivered a petition to McCain demanding he denounce conservative pastor John Hagee who said New Orleans was being punished with Hurricane Katrina. Moveon's petition said If you reject intolerance and bigotry, reject Hagee's political support and stop courting hate-mongers like him."

Lower Ninth Ward still in trouble McCain also offered his stance on a Senate vote he failed to attend Wednesday. The measure would attempt to equalize women's pay disparity by allowing women to sue their employer for discrimination. McCain said the legislation would have brought more lawsuits. Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama returned to Washington for the vote, but Republicans blocked the measure.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton told Inside Edition that she didn't know about the her husband's pardon of two members of the Weather Underground in jail for the deaths of two New York cops. The pardons came as Clinton was running for Senate in New York. It received media both national and local media attention at the time. Clinton criticized Obama for associating with Bill Ayer, a former member of the Weather Underground who is now a professor at the University of Chicago law school.
