Apr. 14, Headlines - Both Hillary Clinton and Barack
Obama spent the weekend picking up the pieces
on some damaging moments on the campaign trail.
After Obama said that people who
vote on the issue of religion and guns are 'bitter', Obama attempted to explain
himself in Indiana. His words he said, were ill chosen.
"What is absolutely true is that people don't feel like they're being
listened to. So they pray and count on each other and count on their own
families. You know this in your own lives."
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton is trying recoup after Bill Clinton said her story
about landing under sniper fire in Bosnia was because she was tired at late
night campaign rallies. But Hillary Clinton repeated the story several times,
many time at morning rallies. On the trail, Senator Clinton attempted to change
the subject by focusing on Obama's comments, calling him an elitist.
"How
does he see the people here in this neighborhood, through out Pennsylvania,
Indiana, North Carolina, other places in our country. And, I think that's
what people are looking for, some explanation."
Both candidates will spend the day in Pennsylvania focusing on labor and
manufacturing constituents.
You will find audio, video, blogs, and hard-hitting analysis from progressive journalists. Each day, unravel the double speak of candidates and media pundits, with news and alternative perspectives about the critical issues.
