Apr. 8, Headlines - The three Presidential Candidates, Republican John McCain and Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, all return to the Senate to quiz Iraq Commander General David Petraeus on Iraq as members of the Armed Services and Foreign Relations Committee.

The candidates hope the high profile hearing scores them some political points that transfer to the campaign trail.

John McCain highlighted pre-empted this hearing with another speech on foreign policy. To the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kansas City, McCain targeted the Democrats.Senate Hearing with Gen. Petraeus

"I don't want to keep troops in Iraq a minute longer than necessary to secure our interests there. Our goal is an Iraq that can stand alone as a democratic ally and responsible force for peace in its neighborhood."

Hillary Clinton calls on President Bush to boycott the 2008 Olympics because of China's poor record on human rights. In a statement, Clinton points to violent responses to protests in Tibet and China's unwillingness to pressure the Sudanese government to stop the violence in Darfur.
