Florida Dems: No To Revote; McCain, Cheney in Iraq PDF Print E-mail

Mar. 18, Headlines - Just before the 5th year anniversary of the occupation of Iraq, presumptive Republican nominee John McCain visited Iraq. Vice President Dick Cheney made a surprise visit. They both relayed similar messages. Cheney said the 2003 invasion of Iraq is quote 'a successful endeavor' and McCain said quote 'the surge is working'.

Democrats in Florida are saying no to a primary do over. In a letter to Florida democrats, Chairman of the Florida Democratic Party Karen Thurman says quote 'the consensus is clear: Florida doesn't want to vote again…So we won't'.

The statement also said that a solution will have to come Democratic Party votersfrom the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee. That committee is not scheduled to meet again until April.
