July 30 - As both Barack Obama and John McCain turn to the economy, through his wife, Michelle, Democrat Barack Obama released a measure to directly impact women. At a women's luncheon, Michelle Obama laid out a series of proposals that would guarantee paid sick days, provide equal pay, and implement a series of tax cuts for families.

It has some very, very important provisions in it, from expanding the Family Medical Leave Act, increasing the number of people who have the ability to take medical leave, expanding paid sick days.. Something like 2/3rds of American workers do not have access to even a single paid sick day from their jobs.
