"Blue collar White voters voted for Hillary Clinton, something like 3
to 1. African Americans in Pennsylvania voted for Barack Obama, 9 out of 10...
for Hillary Clinton, in ways, and a lot of voters, it was very similar
to what happened in Ohio.
"I think, it's very telling about what is going on,
in Pennsylvania, amongst white voters. Its interesting wondering if the issues
of what Barack Obama said in San Francisco about disgruntled white voters,
as well as maybe his relationship with Pastor Jeremiah Wright may have played
out, in all of this."
... if you really listen to Pastor
Jeremiah Wright, he really doesn't say anything
a whole lot different than what you would hear on most Pacifica
community radio stations throughout the country. But, it just goes to show,
someone who also speaks something like that, former candidate Denis Kucinich
.. he speaks that very progressive line as well - what did he have 2, 3 percent
at most in the polls."
"..for example, with the Pastor Wright relationship. I think what happened
is, when Barack Obama in Philadelphia went to give his speech, 'A More Perfect
Union' - a speech that was really about race in America today. A pretty profound
speech, but if you look at most media coverage, the angle that most media coverage
took at that speech was 'did he separate himself enough, from his pastor',
and so, just the angle that this whole issue of his pastor, and race played
in the media, probably had a lot to do with what happened in Pennsylvania."
You will find audio, video, blogs, and hard-hitting analysis from progressive journalists. Each day, unravel the double speak of candidates and media pundits, with news and alternative perspectives about the critical issues.
