Former Democratic party vice presidential nominee Geraldine Ferraro has come under fire after telling a newspaper that Barack Obama would not be a major presidential contender if he were not black: Ferraro told the Daily Breeze of Torrance, Calif that if he were "a white man, he would not be in this position. And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position," and that he is "very lucky" to be who he is.

Barack ObamaHillary Clinton said she doesn't agree with the comment. But the Obama campaign wants Clinton to go one step further and "denounce" the statement.

Today the Senate Rules committee will hold a hearing on the myths of voter fraud. Witnesses will include former New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias, the fired US attorney.

Please let Barack win. The democrats have always destroyed their best and most progressive candidates- I believe they'd rather lose and hold on to corporate payouts than win and have to address campaign finance reform.

Hillary is a poster child for the Democratic machine in all it's rusty, shitty, compromised glory. I will NOT vote for her- I will write in a third party candidate. I can't watch another mediocre democrat lose to another mediocre republican.
