Mar. 5, Headlines - A big night in Presidential politics as Hillary Clinton gained crucial wins, breaking Barack Obama's winning streak and slowing his momentum. She won Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island. Votes are still being counted and delegates are still being allocated, but it's likely Obama will maintain his lead in delegates, the tally that matters in the end.

John McCain secures the Republican nomination by obtaining the 1200 delegates to be the nominee. Mike Huckabee ends his Presidential run.

For a closer look at what happened in the states for the Democratic race.

Hillary ClintonIn Ohio, Clinton pulled out a crucial win for her campaign.

"You know what they say, 'as Ohio goes, so goes the nation'."

Clinton noted that all recent candidates who won the Presidency won Ohio. Among exuberant supporters in Columbus, Clinton says the race will go on.

"For everyone who has stumbled but stood right back up and for everyone who works hard and never gives up, this one is for you!"

Clinton won a commanding victory in Ohio among voters here, possibly her attacks on Barack Obama over NAFTA in the past week hit home to some voters.

Also in Ohio, Representative Dennis Kucinich secured his Congressional seat after facing tough, well funded primary opponents.

Now we go to Texas, a long day of voting was followed by a long night of caucusing. Clinton pulled off a must win in the primary here by edging out Obama.

Obama gave an idealistic speech to supporters in San Antonio.

"The world is paying attention to how we conduct ourselves. What we say. How we treat one another. What will they see. What will we tell them. What will we show them. Will we come together across party and region, race and religion to restore prosperity and opportunity as the birthright of every American. Can we lead the community of nations in taking on the common threats of the 21 century …terrorism and climate change, genocide and disease. Can we send a message to all those weary travelers beyond are shores, who long to be free from fear and want. That the United States of America is and always will be the last best hope on earth. We say, we hope, we believe. Yes we can!"
