They spoke about the mood of the state and what is important to voters.

"Probably the top issues, whether you speaking about urban communities, sub-urban communities, or rural communities is the loss of jobs. Unfortunately, Indiana has experienced several factory closings and several companies who have relocated to other states, or other countries, over the past decade.

So that would probably be the top issue, followed by concerns about Health Care. We have many, many residents who do not have Health insurance, who lack proper health coverage, so that would probably be the second most critical issue. Followed by education, and concerns about the War on Iraq."

"What you might hear directly from a voter, face to face, and what you might hear from white voters on blogs here are two different things. Face to face, with most voters, black or white, the Wright controversy doesn't seem to have much of an impact, you don't hear a whole lot of talk about that.

But, however, if you look at a lot of the blogs.. you might see comment ranging from, this is just proof that Obama is a closet Muslim.. So what you hear from voters in person are two different things."
