Pacifica Radio and FSRN are proud to launch this site, powered by the Joomla! 1.5 framework. Pacifica uses Open Source software nearly 100% of the time online (always, when possible), especially Joomla! which according to Pacifica Web Project Manager works and acts much like Pacifica Radio.

The Joomla! community and Pacifica Radio are very similar in that in both cases, Award Winning quality of work is generated by unpaid staff (volunteers), who then make it available to the public as an empowering educational public offering.

ElectionUnspun.org currently uses Joomla! 1.5 in native mode. Which means this site makes use of the most recent version of the award-winning open source application, Joomla! CMS. Other elements include a commenting system by "yvComment", and the "AllVideos Reloaded" tool, an embedded multimedia system based on the JoomlaWorks original.

The goals for ElectionUnspun.org are to offer you:

  • Daily audio segments including interviews, news headlines, and features

  • Relevant videos from the candidates, and their constituents

  • Links to election related resources for voters
