Barack Obama sweeps another three contests. He garnered
huge wins over Hillary Clinton in the so called Potomac Primary of Maryland,
Virginia, and Washington DC.
In Virginia and Maryland, Obama received more than 60 percent of the vote.
In the Maryland and the District more than 3/4 of the voters backed him.
Visiting churches and schools,
Hillary Clinton and Barack
Obama hope for a big turn out in today's first ever
Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC primary.
Barack Obama told a crowd in Alexandria,
Virginia, "Like your son sees someone
different as president after 43 of them, the 44th, hey that guy has a funny name
like me. It changes our perceptions in this country but it also changes perceptions
overseas."
He swept every single primary and caucus.
Louisiana, Nebraska, Washington, Maine and the Virgin Islands, he beat Hillary
Clinton overwhelmingly – 2 voters to 1.
"Hillary and I both want universal
healthcare, but unless we can put a working majority together it doesn't matter
what plans are adopted, they will not pass through the Congress."
